Dark Chocolate Almond Butter
Dark Chocolate Almond Butter

8/10: The flavor here was exactly what you get from the name in your mind. The almond was very pronounced followed by a sweetness from the chocolate and finishing with an overall slight bitterness–joy. My biggest problem with this, however, was that it was not quite dark chocolate. That’s because among the ingredients is nonfat dry milk powder. I wish if they’re adding milk powder they’d have at least added more and gone for a milk chocolate nut butter while they were at it. Oh well. For something almondy and sweet, this was a nice touch to oats.

I think I would give this like a 6.5/10. It tasted fine, but I wasn’t a huge fan. It didn’t have that consistency of almond butter that I like so much. I mean, I’ll finish the jar, but I won’t buy it again. Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter is so much better…and cheaper!

I definitely like this even less now that Justin’s makes a chocolate almond butter which is fantastic, vegan, and keeps the nutrition much like a nut butter should look.
