8/10: Naturally Nutty’s Vanilla Almond Butter tops my chart when it comes to Almond Butter, so I was hoping this one would be equally impressive. While the hint of vanilla is in both, this is very distinct in the subtleness of flavor. It’s not overly sweetened, which I appreciate because it makes the palate work more to understand the flavor. But it also makes this more of a labor to enjoy. And the combination of vanilla and peanut just seems forced in a way that vanilla and almond butter go together naturally. I like this for a “gourmet peanut butter”, but not so much a flavored nut butter.
