Strawberry Darling

Strawberry Darling

8.5/10: Laloo’s is a brand of products made of goat’s milk that comes in fun and interesting flavors. It’s carried at a few stores such as Whole Foods and a pint costs around 7 dollars. I was immediately drawn to Strawberry Darling, described as “juicy strawberries in cream married to a graceful swirl of balsamico”. Um, yum? This totally lived up to its description and more. The sweet strawberry flavor with the natural tang of goat’s milk was wonderous enough, but the balsamic swirl really set it over the edge. It added a savoriness that half made me want to stop eating it and half shove the whole thing in my mouth. Nutritionally, half a cup is fairly light at 130 calories yet tastes like a rich, creamy churn. It does have a good amount of cholesterol due to egg yolks, unfortunately. It’s an expensive brand and I probably wouldn’t buy it for more of the plain flavors; but I think for some of the more extremes it’s a must go-to.
