8/10: I love vegan foods, if only because they create so many oxymorons. Naturally, I was excited to then try “vegan parmesan”. While this didn’t taste quite like parmesan, it’s not like I could blame it for that; this was made with 3 wholesome ingredients and not a long list of complicated parmesan¬†imitators. I was a bit surprised how much it tasted like nutritionaly yeast and not walnuts, given walnuts were the first ingredient. But in the end I liked how walnuts made this more nutritionally similar to the real thing. Overall, the salt was really the savior of the flavor and made this what it is–not a parmesan imitation, but just what it is.
