8/10: Bacon and chocolate is a combination that threw the food world up in arms at first and now borders on overdone; the new trick is to perfect it. I think Vosges does a good at bringing out the smokiness of the bacon in a creamy chocolate with the touch of salt. At the same time, the overall bacon flavor is a little lost. What gets me is how hard this can be to track down and how much it costs once you do; for that price, you can get some good bacon and chocolate and just eat them alongside one another. For any foodie, this is a really fun gift; for the average chocolatier, it might take a while to work their way up to this one.
