How To Make Oatmeal

Standard Oatmeal

Standard Bowl:

Combine 20g oatbran with 20g oatmeal and 160g(2/3 cup) water. Add a generous amount of salt(sea salt preferred) and let stand 5 minutes if time allows. Microwave for 3 minutes, stir, and let stand for an additional minute.

Small Bowl or Bowl With Mix-In:

Combine 15g oatbran with 15g oatmeal and 120g(1/2 cup) water. Add a generous amount of salt(sea salt preferred) and let stand 5 minutes if time allows. Microwave for 2 minutes, stir, and let stand for an additional minute.

Pumpkin Oatmeal:

Make a Small bowl of oatmeal. After the 2 minutes of microwaving, add 1/2 cup canned pumpkin(Libby’s preferred), and a touch of water if necessary to de-thicken. Microwave for an additional 90 seconds.

Banana Oatmeal:

Before measuring out grains, mash 3oz banana(about 1 medium sized one) with a fork in a bowl until mushy and without clumps. Continue on with the directions for a small bowl, reducing water to 80g(1/3 cup) and stirring well before microwaving.

French Toast Oatmeal:

Make a small or standard bowl of oatmeal. After cooking, crack in 1 egg white, keeping on to the yolk. Mix fairly well and microwave for 1 minute. After that, add on the yolk and swirl in. Mix until yolk reaches desired doneness. Top with maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla.
